As our continued growth opens up new possibilities our client a leading engineering and mining services provider dedicated to supporting various shutdowns and maintenance throughout Australia are seeking multiple Belt Splicers to join their operations in 2024. 

As Belt Splicer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance of conveyor systems during planned shutdowns and existing operations. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belts, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various Belt Splicing techniques and repairs (i.e. hot splice, cold splice, mechanical clip and Superscrew on fabric belt)
  • Complete onsite installations / maintenance as required
  • Identify common belt damages and determine method of repair
  • Operate mechanical plant and equipment
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum L2 qualifications.
  • Proven experience working in mining as a Belt Splicer. 
  • Possession of a High-Risk Work License - WP. 
  • Recent experience working at heights within the last 3 years.
  • Knowledge of various types of conveyor systems and splicing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
