Electricians and Communications Technicians
Mergent Recruitment are currently seeking multiple talented Electricians / Communication Technicians to join their growing operation in Adelaide. The successful candidates will be involved in a variety of work involving commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and servicing clients' needs as required.
Troubleshooting and experience with fibre optic and copper structured cabling systems including POE devices and WAP is highly advantageous.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Install complete electrical systems to new construction building sites and structures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment.
- Sketches and builds or modifies jigs, fixtures, and instruments and related apparatus, and verifies dimensional and functional acceptability of devices.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for repair to ensure compliance to relevant standards.
- Test electrical systems and installations as per AS3000.
- Install conduit in designated partitions, walls and other concealed areas, fasten electrical switches and outlets to walls with housing, and pull insulated wires or cables through conduit to complete circuits.
- Complete Certificates of Compliance for all tasks undertaken
Qualifications and Licenses:
- Consistent work history within Electrical or Communications industries
- Current South Australian Unrestricted Electrical workers registration
- Open Cabling Registration with endorsements
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current Drivers Licence
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work; EWP
- Nationally Accredited Working at Heights (Current within 18 months)
- Low Voltage / High Voltage Rescue and Resuscitation
- Police Clearance
