We are seeking skilled and experienced Field Operators to contribute to the success of our Operations Team in 2024. Position Overview:

As a Field Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all field-based assets with our clients Surat Basin oil & gas fields. This role includes the routine operation and optimisation of all oil and gas wells, field compressors, gathering systems and pipelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background and a commitment to excellence in the Oil & Gas sector .

Responsibilities:
  • Routine well operations to ensure equipment integrity and optimised daily well performance
  • Top up of chemical injection tanks, fuel tanks and general well site house keeping
  • Supervision of load outs from oil facilities
  • Routine pipeline pigging and gathering system optimisation
  • Trouble shooting production upsets or operability issues
  • General field tasks including weed control on pipeline easements, CP checks, and general housekeeping around field compression compounds
  • Liaise with the clients Subsurface and Production Engineering Teams to ensure the wells are optimised and the field meets target production thresholds
  • Work closely with the site maintenance team to ensure all field-based assets are serviced and maintained in line with the maintenance schedule
  • Responsible for the overall care, condition, availability and reliability of field-based assets
  • Understand and apply quality control policies and procedures
  • Assist with planned well intervention activities including equipment isolations and removal / reinstatement of well head spool work
  • Assist with brownfields interface of infield project work and well site equipment upgrades  
  • Provide Permit Holder/Issuer duties as required
  • Raise and close out equipment work orders
  • Daily completion of well performance and production reporting
  • Eliminating or reporting workplace hazards, taking part in safety drills and other activities and supporting the work of safety representatives and committees
  • Conducting activities in accordance with the clients environmental policies, codes and guidelines, in particular minimising energy and material usage in the workplace
    Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years gas field operational duties
  • Experience operating older (preferably conventional) well site plant and equipment
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft products (Word & Excel etc.)
  • Completed structured training in production, process, technical or organisational skills/competencies, directly relevant to the job by other means
  • Trade qualification – Preferred but not mandatory
  • Cert III – Process Plant Operations - Preferred but not mandatory
  • Production Engineering Qualifications and/or experience - Preferred but not mandatory
  • Well organised with attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively under the direction of a Supervisor
  • Professional presentation and manner
  • Have a flexible approach in working hours to meet varying workloads and operational demands
  • Sound written and oral communication skills with ability to liaise with all levels of management and staff
