Come work with a true national tier one mechanical contractor as they look to develop a local team of design modelers to deliver marquee projects. The engineering team comprises of roughly 30 designers and engineers and have successfully delivered iconic commercial and public developments.
Responsibilities:
- Workshop Drawings (BIM Modeling):
- Develop detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) workshop drawings for HVAC systems across multiple projects.
- Utilize Revit to create accurate 3D models, incorporating ductwork, piping, equipment, and other mechanical components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with structural and architectural teams to resolve clashes and optimize spatial coordination.
- Clash Detection and Coordination:
- Conduct clash detection using Navisworks to identify clashes between MEP systems, structural elements, and architectural features.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve clashes and streamline system integration.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
- BIM Project Management:
- Maintain and update BIM project documents throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage version control, ensuring an accurate representation of design changes.
- Collaborate with project managers to track progress and meet project milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in Revi t MEP modeling and Navisworks for clash detection.
- Strong understanding of mechanical HVAC design principles, load calculations, and equipment selection.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and construction sequencing.
