Our client is an emerging and dynamic player in the Oil & Gas industry, dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. We are seeking skilled and self-motivated Roustabouts to contribute to the success of our Operations Team in 2024. If you have a background & experience in Oil & Gas, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview: The Roustabout is a vital team member responsible for providing essential support to the operations and maintenance activities of a gas plant. This role entails assisting tradespeople and technicians in various tasks related to plant operations, maintenance, and safety. The Roustabout must have a strong commitment to safety, be physically fit, and collaborate effectively within a dynamic work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background and a commitment to excellence in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Responsibilities:Stores Assistance: Provide support to Materials Coordinator/Expeditor with inventory delivery or service execution.
  • Maintenance Support: Provide support to tradespeople and technicians in performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repair tasks on equipment, structures, and systems.
  • Operational Assistance: Provide support to operators in performing routine tasks as directed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the operations and maintenance teams and other plant personnel.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment required for plant operations and maintenance.
  • Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with our clients safety policies.
  • Eliminating or reporting workplace hazards, taking part in safety drills and other activities and supporting the work of safety representatives and committees
  • Conducting activities in accordance with our clients environmental policies, codes and guidelines, in particular minimising energy and material usage in the workplace.
 
  • Qualifications & Skills:Forklift license/ticket
  • Basic skills in MS Products (Word excel etc)
  • MR Truck License
  • Year 10 secondary education or higher
  • Trade Qualification – Preferred but not essential
  • Self-motivated, high initiative and adaptability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing to follow internal procedures and controls
  • Dedicated team player with ability to multi task
  • Have a flexible approach in working hours to meet varying workloads and operational demands
  • Sound written and oral communication skills with ability to liaise with all levels of management and staff
